A few days back, a McLaren Senna LM was spotted at a dealership. Now, the first images of the ultra-rare Senna Can-Am have surfaced online.
This Can-Am is just one of three cars that have been built for McLaren’s VIP customers. Like the LM, this car too is based on the Senna GTR chassis but has a few special details inspired by the McLaren M8B driven by Bruce McLaren in the 1969 Canadian American Challenge Cup.
As seen in the digital renderings, the Senna Can-Am has an orange exterior with silver highlights. The front splitter elements are painted in silver and so is the rear wing. The car has louvres on the front fenders, a roof scoop and quad exhausts.
Inside, the car gets black Alcantara trim with Can-Am logo embroidered into the seat headrests, special door sills with details of the M8B’s race victories, black anodized accelerator pedal with the Can-Am logo, Liquid Silver door struts, orange door pull straps and a plaque with the production number.
The Senna Can-Am uses the same 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine from the regular Senna. The engine is tuned to produce 814 hp, which is similar to what you get in the track-only Senna GTR.
