This week the speed freaks at AutoTopNL took a Porsche 9ff GTurbo R out on the Autobahn for a top speed run. The car didn’t disappoint. It clocked a top speed of 211 mph (340 km/h)!
The way it picks up speed beyond 5000 rpm is worth checking out. Also, watch how it accelerates from 300 km/h (186 mph) to 340 km/h almost effortlessly.
The 9ff GTurbo R is based on the 997-Gen GT3. It’s powered by a 3.9-litre, turbocharged flat-6 engine that puts out 1183 hp and 848 lb-ft of torque. All of it is channeled to the rear wheels via a 6-speed transmission.
Give the GTurbo R a long enough strip of tarmac and it hit 239 mph. The car does 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds and will hit the quarter mile in around 10.2 seconds @ 167.1 mph. This thing is a beast!
