A convoy of 2018 BMW M5 test mules was spotted in central Oslo. The driver of one of the prototypes was kind enough to rev the twin-turbo V8 engine while being filmed. All thanks to his kind gesture we can now report that the new BMW M5 sounds brilliant!

The 2018 BMW M5 will be powered by the same 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 as its predecessor. However, the new motor has been tweaked so that it now produces somewhere around 600 hp. With so much grunt and a great sounding exhaust should make for an awesome package.
Meanwhile, the new BMW M5 has been spotted testing on the other side of the Atlantic as well. It is expected to be launched at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show.
