Ford has re-created Steve McQueen’s iconic Mustang Bullitt.
Over the past few months, there had been rumours about a new Mustang Bullitt in the media. Putting an end to all speculations, Ford revealed the all-new 2019 Mustang Bullitt at the Detroit Motor Show on Sunday.
Like Steve McQueen’s iconic car, the new Bullitt Mustang has been painted in a Dark Highland Green shade with black accents and chrome details. It rides on 19-inch alloy wheels painted in gloss black, while the brake calipers have been painted red. The Mustang Bullitt gets a bespoke front grille with chrome highlights.
Inside this special Mustang, you get a leather steering wheel and Recaro seats with green stitching and a 12-inch digital instrument cluster. As a nod to the original, Ford has added a white cue ball gear knob too.
At its heart is an upgraded 5.0-liter V8 engine that makes 475 hp and 420 lb-ft of peak torque. It is paired with a manual gearbox and comes fitted with the Premium and Performance pack as standard. It has an active exhaust with Black NitroPlate exhaust tips, ‘Open Air’ induction system, GT350 intake manifold with 87 mm throttle bodies and an ECU remap. The car is claimed to have a top speed of 163 mph, which makes it slightly quicker than the standard model.

Other features include memory seats, satellite navigation, blind-spot monitor MagneRide semi-active suspension among others.
