We might have just spotted a 2019 Lamborghini Aventador SV hot weather testing.
In September 2017, it was reported that Lamborghini was planning another Aventador SV based on the latest Aventador S. While this may still be a rumour, recent spy shots suggest that Lamborghini could be working on a hot new Aventador.
The latest spy images come courtesy of Cars in Namibia: @cars_namibia. A test mule of what appears to be the new Aventador SV was spotted around Windhoek, Namibia. The bodywork is clearly different on this particular test car. The rear fascia looks more aggressive than the standard Aventador S. Also, note that the engine cover has a shark fin. Moving to the side, unlike the base Aventador S, this test mule has two air-vents on the side. There also appears to be a revised side skirt and a low slung front splitter. The front bumper appears to be new replete with an air-breather.
While little is known about the specifications of the upcoming supercar, we suspect that it might get an updated version of the 6.5-liter, naturally-aspirated V12 engine that powers the Aventador S. We can also expect the engine to make upwards of 730 hp and 509 lb-ft of torque. It might also borrow the four-wheel steering system from the Aventador S, while all-wheel drive will be standard.
