The Jaguar F-Type is getting an update. The baby Jag looks all matured and grown up in these leaked images.
The leaked images suggest that the Jaguar F-Type has been given a substantial makeover. It has a larger, rectangular grille that’s flanked by slim LED headlights with L-shaped DRLs. The bumper also has redesigned air ducts, giving the car a more aggressive look. A slight nip and tuck at the rear has also helped freshen up the design. The tail lights retain their shape but get more angular edges. The F-Type R seen here has the quad-exhausts and a redesigned rear diffuser.
Jaguar is also making a few changes under the skin. The supercharged V6 engine is being replaced with a turbocharged 6-cylinder hybrid. The entry-level version will still feature a 4-cylinder block, while the sportiest of the lot will get the meaty V8 motor.
There were rumors that Jaguar would swap out their 5.0-liter V8 for a BMW-sourced 4.4-liter unit. But, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
