Lamborghini today launched their latest high-performance model in India. The Huracan Performante is now available at a cool price of Rs 3.97 crore.
The Huracan Performante made its global debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show last month. It is a hardcore, track-focused version of the Huracan.
It surprised the world when it broke the production car lap record of the Nurburgring ahead of its launch. The Performante lapped the famous race track in 6 min 52.01 sec beating the previous record set by the Porsche 918 Spyder.
At its heart is a 5.2-liter V10 which churns out 640 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It takes just 2.9 sec to reach 100 km/hr and will keep on accelerating to a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/hr).
The Huracan Performante has a trick active aerodynamics setup called Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva which uses vents in the bodywork to channel air under and over the car. At high speed, the system can completely stall the rear wing, reducing drag. ALA played a key role in setting the Nurburgring lap record.
Lamborghini is now working on a convertible version. A Huracan Performante Spyder prototype was recently spotted. Checkout the spy shots here.
