The Honda CR-Z Mugen is not an ordinary hatchback. The boffins at Honda’s in-house tuning division came up with this rather revolutionary idea to bolt on a supercharger onto a 1.5-liter engine and then to further spice things up, they added an electric motor. So, the Honda CR-Z Mugen is not just supercharged but also a hybrid.
Output of the 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine is rated at 153 hp, while the hybrid system which consists of an integrated motor assist system delivers an extra 20 hp. The tastefully tuned hatchback also gets titanium cat-back exhaust system, five-way adjustable coilover suspension, updated brakes with 11.8-inch discs up front. A stylish body kit adds an adjustable front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser and a large rear spoiler. The interior too has a touch of sporty appeal to it.
