Nissan has updated the 370Z Nismo with a few tweaks. The 2015 Nissan 370Z Nismo features more cosmetic upgrades but retains the powertrain and suspension from the previous model. The company also offers customers the option of a 7-speed automatic transmission, this time around. I’m not sure how wise a choice it would be for pure driving enthusiasts. So, the updated 2015 Nissan 370Z Nismo was showcased at the annual ZDayZ festival in North Carolina alongside the flagship Nissan GT-R Nismo. Both the cars sports a similar color scheme with red accents and aggressive body kits.
The 2015 Nissan 370Z Nismo gets tweaked front and rear bumpers with winglets to improve aerodynamic efficiency. The cooling ducts are wider giving the car a bolder look. LED daytime running lights and smoked headlamps further improve on the sporty nature of the package. Towards the rear, twin, large diameter exhausts and lip spoiler sets this apart from the standard 370Z coupe. Nissan has also made a few changes to the interior. The sports Recaro seats are wrapped in contrasting red and black leather. The 7-inch touch screen with navigation comes equipped with an in-built hard drive.
Under the hood, the Nissan 370Z Nismo retains the 3.7-liter V-6 engine that produces 350 horsepower and 276 lb-ft of torque which is delivered to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox with SynchroRev match. Nissan also has an optional 7-speed automatic transmission of offer. The new transmission features Adaptive Shift control and rev match functions as well. Paddles are provided behind the steering wheel for quicker, more ergonomic gearshifts.
