German tuner GeigerCars gives the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat a massive ego and power boost with an 890 hp tuning pack. Yes, Project Cerberus is a hellhound unleashed from Hades’ kingdom.
Cerberus is a multi-headed dog from Greek mythology. We have seen it in Wrath of the Titans – the Sam Worthington-starrer which was quite better than the movie which came before it. Cerberus is the hound of Hades tasked with the job of guarding the gates of the Underworld. Now we have a fair idea on why GeigerCars chose the name “Project Cerberus” for their modified, fire-breathing, 890 hp Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
Taking a break from tuning European cars, the German tuning house brought in an American icon to their facility and started brainstorming on ways to make the Challenger SRT Hellcat more insane. After taking a good look at the end result, we must say that the Germans have succeeded in what they set out to do.
Among the many things which make the Cerberus Challenger more sinister than its donor car – a 717 hp SRT Hellcat – and even more evil than the limited production Dodge Demon, are the new turbo, prop shaft and engine software. The combination of these now churns out a whopping 890 hp of power and 751 lb-ft of torque.
The exterior is garnished with a white coat of paint, red and black stripes and what we think is an unimpressive-looking graphic pack featuring a demon dog and the name “Cerberus”. Oh, we’re not complaining, because the wheels and modified hood scoop borrowed from the Demon along with the widebody treatment taken from the Challenger Redeye have already made the Project Cerberus Challenger extremely desirable in our eyes.
