Google VP Benjamin Sloss has an insane collection of supercars. The latest addition to his garage is a Ford GT Mk II – a track-only supercar.
Soon after taking delivery of the car, Sloss took it to The Thermal Club in California. When we say “took it”, we mean “got it transported to”. As you know, the Ford GT Mk II is not street legal and therefore, the only place to enjoy this machine is at the racetrack.

It’s safe to assume that Sloss was pretty excited after driving the car. “That. Sound. I expected it to sound good. I didn’t expect it to sound *this* good. Pure racecar music,” he said.
The GT Mk II is based on the Ford GT. It’s a track toy for wealthy individuals. The Le Mans-inspired car is lighter than the regular GT and is aided by more downforce. It is powered by a 3.5-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine that makes 700 hp. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Only 45 cars are being built and prices start $1.2 million.
