Lamborghini has released the first official teaser images of the its upcoming track-focused hypercar. It was developed by the Squadra Corse racing division and designed by Centro Stile. The limited edition Lamborghini SCV12 will make its debut this summer.
The SCV12 is powered by a meaty V12 engine. What’s more interesting is that this is the most powerful naturally aspirated V12 to come out of Sant’Agata. It churns out 819 hp, which is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed gearbox.
Lamborghini claims that the suspension and aerodynamics of the SCV12 were inspired by racing prototypes and we can see why. The car looks like an Aventador-based Le Mans race car. It is also claimed to have an exceptional power-to-weight ratio courtesy of a carbon fiber chassis.
Lamborghini will be building a few dozeon units of the SCV12 hypercar. It is not homologated for road use and therefore, owners will get access to special driving programs enabling them to drive their cars at various racetracks around the world.
