We’ve seen the Zonda HP Barchetta – that crazy Zonda-based speedster. But, did you know there was an even crazier Barchetta tucked away somewhere inside Pagani HQ? It’s called the Zonda R Barchetta and this is it.
The Zonda R Barchetta is one of those projects which only company insiders and perhaps a few customers have been aware of. We had heard rumors about this car but we couldn’t get any concrete information about it. At least we now know how it looks like.
The supercar is clearly based on the Zonda R, which is a track version of the Zonda. But, it is unclear if the Barchetta will also be track only. However, looking at the crazy aero on this car, we suspect it would be track only. That said, we can expect it be powered by a naturally aspirated 7.3-liter V12 engine producing 789 hp and 627 lb-ft.
Pagani is building 3 examples of the HP Barchetta. Perhaps the R Barchetta will also see an ultra-limited production run. One thing is for certain though. It will have an astronomical price tag.
