Pagani has released a teaser video of the upcoming Huayra R. While we still don’t get to see the car itself, we do get to hear it.
The short clip shows the valve covers of the Huayra R’s naturally aspirated V12 engine. Put on your headphones and turn up the volume, because this thing sounds absolutely insane.

From what our sources have told us, the Huayra R will be powered by a brand new naturally aspirated V12 engine built by AMG. It has been developed in collaboration with HWA – these are same folks who worked on the Apollo IE’s V12 unit. The engine revs to over 9500 rpm and is said to produce over 900 hp.
I remember our sources describing us how the engine sounded like. They said it made a “diabolic” sound. Now we can see why they used that adjective to describe the engine note.
