As you know, last Sunday’s Belgian GP was a complete washout. While we prayed for the rain gods to take a break, just across the border in Germany, a few Ferrari owners were out on the Nurburgring Nordschleife in their FXX-K EVOs.
Auto Addiction caught six Ferrari FXX-K EVOs that day. Although the cars were being driven at a sedate pace, you don’t get to see FXX-Ks at the Nurburgring that often. So, it was definitely a sight to hold. And just listen to the V12s sing!
The FXX-K EVO is the upgraded version of the FXX-K. As you know, the track car is based on the LaFerrari. The EVO version gets a revised aero package that is said to produce 23% more downforce than the standard FXX-K.
At the heart of this car is a 6.3-litre V12 that develops 860 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. It is complemented by a 190 hp electric motor, which takes the combined output to 1050 hp and 730 lb-ft.
