Lamborghini revealed the final iteration of the Huracan earlier this month. The Huracan Tecnica marks the end of the road for Sant ‘Agata’s V10 supercar. We now have some information about its twin sister – the Audi R8 V10.
Like Lamborghini, Audi is also planning a send-off for its flagship supercar. It is likely to be called the R8 V10 Performance RS Final edition.
The RS Final edition will be the last R8 powered by an internal combustion engine. As you may know, it will be replaced with an all-electric version. Naturally, the last V10 has to be special. Our sources tell us that the 5.2-liter motor will be tuned to produce around 650 hp.
While the car is expected to pack a pretty potent powertrain, it is likely to receive a few exterior upgrades as well. We’ve been told that the R8 V10 Performance RS Final edition will feature an updated aero package with loads of carbon fibre components.
If our information is correct, the Audi R8 V10 Performance RS Final edition will be unveiled in the fall of 2022. As you’d expect, Audi will be producing a limited number of Final edition R8s before ceasing production.
