This video goes out to all you AMG fan boys out there. Jonny Lieberman takes two of the latest high-performance SUVs out for a test drive and finds out which is best and which one of them is trying hard but not quite there yet.
The new BMW X6M and Mercedes-AMG GLE63 S Coupe go head to head and while the AMG is the more powerful of the two, the test proves that adding more power doesn’t always work. Also, the Mercedes seems more like a marketing exercise built just to eat into the BMW X6M’s market share, at least that’s what they intend to but fail miserably.
The BMW X6M is a true performance SUV. It handles like sports sedan and despite a lower peak output is quicker than the GLE63 S. Both the SUVs come with twin-turbo V8 engines up-front and like most AMG models the GLE63 S is “all-show and no-go”. Watch the video and you will agree that BMW M does know a thing or two about handling and performance.
