The all-new Audi R8 was launched in India at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The second generation of Audi’s mid-engine supercar will now be available in the country priced at INR 24,700,000
The all-new Audi R8 was revealed to the media by Team India captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt alongside Audi India head Joe King. It replaces the old Audi R8 V10 coupe.
Only the top-of-the-line Audi R8 V10 Plus version will be available in India, at least for the time being. It packs a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V0 engine which it shares with the Lamborghini Huracan. Peak output is rated 603 hp and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft). It features Audi’s patent Quattro all-wheel drive system along with 7-speed dual-clutch S-Tronic transmission.
The new R8 is lighter than its predecessors thanks to the use of carbon fiber and numerous other weight saving measures. Coupled with the all-wheel drive system and launch control, the new R8 will 100 kph (62 mph) in 3.2 sec and can reach a top speed of 330 kph (205 mph).
Some of the equipment available on the all-new Audi R8 V10 Plus includes carbon ceramic brakes, Audi Magnetic Ride, Dynamic steering, Sports exhaust, LED Laser lights, etc.
