A $1.2 million 1969 Lamborghini Miura P400S which had been sitting in a barn for a few years will be auctioned off at RM Sotheby’s London auction.

Here is something which will appeal to the serious collector in you – an all-original Lamborghini Miura P400S. It’s got that always adorable “barn find” status, the scope for a good story and the honor of being one of the beautiful cars ever made.

Originally purchased new by advertising executive Walter Becker from Nurnberg, Germany in 1971, it changed hands in 1974. Amateur racing driver Hans-Peter Weber picked it up and kept it till he passed away in 2015. The Italian beauty was then moved to a friend’s barn in the Black Forest of Germany.

Coming with the chassis number 4245, this Miura S finished in Giallo Flay on the outside, features the original Skay Blue trim inside. Except for the front turn signals and Schroth seat belts, the 18,032-mile-driven car sports factory parts from 40 years ago. The 3.9-liter V12 produced 370 hp of power when it rolled out of factory floor. But we assume that V12 will need a lot of tender love and care to return to its best condition since the car is in an unrestored state at the moment.

RM Sotheby’s will roll the bright yellow car on to the auction block with no reserve in October this year during the house’s London event and estimates place the value of this time capsule Miura P400S at $1.2 million. After all, as the auction house claims, this is one of the last remaining examples with original parts.
