A more hardcore version of the current M2 is set to debut next year. The BMW M2 CS is expected to make its public debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
According to latest information courtesy of CAR Magazine, the new BMW M2 CS will be lighter, sharper and more powerful than the standard model. It will use an aluminium roof, composite panels and thinner glass amounting a around 25 kg in weight savings.
As we’ve reported earlier, the M2 CS will use a 3.0-liter in-line 6-cylinder engine from the M3/M4. It will de-tuned to about 402 hp and 370 lb-ft. That’s an improvement of 37 hp and 27 lb-ft over the standard M2. Moreover, the performance will be pretty brisk. The M2 CS will hit 60 mph in just 4.2 sec.

The BMW M2 CS is expected to arrive in showrooms in the second quarter of 2018. However, it will make its first public appearance at Geneva next year.
