Aside from World Record Car, the suffix on the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse WRC might as well stand for World Rally Car. Not too long ago, we saw the hypercar going on a dirt trail with a slew of other hypercars. Now, thanks to theTFJJ on Youtube, we have another video of the car pulling off some delicious slip angles off-tarmac and in the process, engulfing the event in a dust storm. The event in question is the Heveningham Hall Concours held in the UK a few days ago.
Considering the amount of torque produced by the 1200 hp W16, the driver does not even need to step on the gas too hard to get the thing doing donuts. To the spectators’ delight, the Veyron WRC also does a 0-150 mph launch which comes in no time. We can only imagine how fun it must have been to ride on-board the Bugatti.
The Veyron WRC isn’t the only hypercar though to pull-off such shenanigans. For example – this LaFerrari Aperta racing a go-kart while climbing a high-mountain pass in Italy.
Bugatti built the WRC special edition in 2013 to celebrate the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse’s open-top production car speed record. The car clocked 254.04 mph or 408.83 km/h at Volkswagen’s proving grounds in Ehra-Lessien, Germany. The record was held for three years before the Venom GT Spyder reached a top speed of 265.6 mph or 427.4 km/h in April, 2016.
