Although most owners would never see the top speed of their Bugatti Veyron Super Sport flash on the dashboard, there are few enthusiastic owners who are willing to max out their Super Sport Pur Blanc over a closed public road. One such adventurous bloke did just that. This guy drove his Bugatti Veyron Super Sport Pur Blanc to a speed of 246.4 mph on an isolated mountain road in the state of Idaho. The Sun Valley Road Rally course is popular with speed freaks and this year the Veyron managed to break the speed record set here previously. I don’t anyone would attempt to challenge this record anytime soon.

The Bugatti Veyron SS is powered by the same 8.0-liter, quad-turbocharged W-16 engine as the standard Veyron. In this one however, the powerhouse has been tuned to produced upwards of 1100 hp. Bugatti also claimed the world top speed record for a production car registering speeds exceeding 267 mph. That said, customer cars have been restricted to a much lower speed limit for safety and technical reasons.
