Chevrolet has launched a limited edition model of the C7 Corvette. Based on the Z06, the Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition is commemorative of the Corvette C7.R race car that competes at Le Mans and the Daytona series. Technically, the Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition is similar to the stock Z06 model.
Thus, it uses the same 6.2-liter supercharged V8 with 650 hp. In fact, the road car is more powerful than the racer as the C7.R has to be limited 500 hp from an engine capacity of 5.5-liters.
The 2016 Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition will be limited to to just 500 units with each of them getting a special VIN. On the outside, the car is painted in the racing colors of the Corvette C7.R. The black alloy wheels with yellow accents, bare carbon splitter, spoiler and side skirts as well as power dome on the bonnet.
You also get all the features from the Z07 performance package which includes carbon ceramic brakes, adjustable wings and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
