Chris Harris Crashes a Porsche 911 GT3; Escapes Unhurt

Top gear co-host and racing driver Chris Harris is one of the most skilled in the business, but even the most proficient of drivers can’t escape a misfortune or two on the road.

On Monday, Harris who was working for the show’s magazine and was driving a black Porsche GT3 Touring near Tintern in Wales crashed into a pick-up truck doing a three-point turn. A senior executive from the magazine was also in the car at the time of the crash. Both Harris and his passenger as well as the driver of the pickup truck were unhurt in the accident.

The same cannot be said about the two cars. According to an eye-witness, the front of the 911 GT3 Touring was badly wrecked after it collided into the side of the pickup truck between the front and back wheels.

Harris took to Instagram to post some additional information about the accident claiming that speeding wasn’t a factor and that the police has confirmed that the presenter was without-fault.

Chris Harris joined Top Gear in 2016 as part of the team which replaced Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. He is currently filming the 26th season which will be the last with the other two presenters: Matt LeBlanc and Rory Reid as the former is quitting the show and the latter being demoted to hosting only the spin-off Extra Gear. Two new presenters in the form of Andrew Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness will join Harris for the 27th season of the popular automotive television show.
