Of late, the new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has been the talk of the town and quite rightly so as the it is the most powerful muscle car ever and at just above 59 grand, is seriously good value. Dodge has also proven the performance it delivers courtesy of the 6.2-liter HEMI V8 supercharged to top out at 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft. The SRT Hellcat tackles the quarter mile in 11 and something seconds. With super grippy drag tires, it registers a quarter mile time of 10.8 seconds.
Compare this car with the options available in the market today and one would be more than tempted to buy it. It is cheaper than the best Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 and costs about the same as a Ford Mustang GT500. Considering the sheer power it puts down, the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat has best power to price ratio of them all. That said, Dodge could limit the production of the Hellcat to just 1200 units per year. So, not everyone will get to own one and the price of the car would certainly rise by the time the SRT Hellcat enters showrooms across America. Also, the immensely powerful muscle car will be available at select dealerships in the US.
