The Bugatti Veyron was once the fastest production car in the world. Since then, there have been numerous advancements in technology which have made cars go even faster. We’re now in the age of 300 mph hypercars. This video is a great showcase of how a modern hypercar compares with a 1000 hp beast from the early 2000s.
On paper, the Bugatti stands no chance of beating the SSC Tuatara. The latter has 750 hp more than the Veyron and is said to accelerate from 60-120 mph in just 2.5 seconds. Given a sufficiently long runway, the Tuatara will hit 300 mph, while the Veyron will top out at 253 mph.
