Ferrari 812 GTO “Versione Speciale” to be revealed on April 21!

According to a user on the FerrariChat forum, Ferrari will be taking the wraps off the 812 GTO / VS on April 21, 2021.

Yesterday, we saw images of the production-spec 812 GTO. As expected, it is going to be a hardcore version of the 812 Superfast. However this time, there will be an Aperta version as well. If rumors are true, then the Aperta could get a wraparound windshield like the limited edition F12 TRS. The coupe and open-top versions are likely to be unveiled together.

It’s not just the looks, but the 812 GTO will also have a special engine. It is expected to be powered by a 6.5-liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine that revs to 10,000 rpm. The rumored output of this motor is 878 hp and 664 lb-ft.

Some say, the production of the 812 GTO will be limited to 1200 units. Out of these 800 are expected to coupes while the remaining 400 will be Apertas. Also, latter will be offered exclusively to Ferrari’s top clients.
