Koenigsegg boss takes the Jesko out for its first test drive.
Last week, we heard the Jesko’s mighty twin-turbo V8 come to life. Today, we bring you the first video of the Jesko prototype being driven around the Koenigsegg factory.
This prototype will be going through an extensive testing phase before the first cars are delivered to the customers. But, keeping with the tradition, it’s company boss Christian von Koenigsegg who puts the first miles on the Jesko prototype. Christian can be seen driving the car as employees look on.
The Agera replacement is powered by a re-designed 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that is capable of pushing out 1280 hp or 1600 hp on E85. It produces a peak torque of 1106 lb-ft. The engine is mated to a 9-speed transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The biggest difference between this car and the old Agera is the top speed. The Jesko is said to be capable of reaching speeds in excess of 300 mph.
