The Ford Focus ST is one of the best performance hatchbacks in the market today. However, it isn’t the most fun Focus the company has ever made. It is the Focus RS that sits at the top of the range and Ford is already busy developing the third generation model. The new Focus RS will receive a new engine and will be based on the current generation Focus. The engine comes from a 2015 Ford Mustang and is a 2.3-liter four-banger Ecoboost.
With an overall output on the far side of 300 hp, the new Focus RS would have to have some serious kit in order to kill understeer synonymous with powerful front-wheel drive cars. That’s where Ford’s RevoKnuckle front suspension and limited-slip differential would come into play.
The new model is still a year away but digital renderings of the hot hatchback have already popped up on the internet. One such, rather interesting rendering has been uploaded by Autocar and I thought, I’d share it wit you. So, here it is.
