Gordon Murray Automotive has revealed the new GMA T.33 supercar – the second model in the company’s line-up, following close on the heels of the GMA T.50.

GMA T33-2

The GMA T.33 is based on a new carbon and ‘aluminium superlight architecture’ that is both rigid and lightweight. Production has been limited to 100 units, and the cars will be assembled at GMA’s new global headquarters at Highams Park in Surrey, UK.

GMA T33-3

The GMA T.33 is designed to be a comfortable grand tourer. The exterior design with that low slung nose section and the stacked headlamps remind us of the Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale. The car has very few sharp edges, which cleans up the side view. There’s also a roof scoop.

GMA T33-5

Speaking of the scoop, it feeds a Cosworth-built 3.9-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces 607 hp @ 10,500 rpm with a red line at 11,100 rpm. The engine itself weighs just 178 kg. Also, 90% of the maximum torque (399 lb-ft) is available from 4,500-10,500 rpm.

GMA T33-4

The engine is bolted to an H-gate 6-speed manual gearbox. It can be operated via shift paddles and is claimed to deliver the fastest gear shift without the need for heavy multiple clutches. The dry weight of the T.33 is just 1090 kg!
