The world’s first twin-turbo Chevy Corvette C8 is ready to hit the streets.
The guys at Texas-based Hennessey Performance were able to turn a stock C8 Corvette into a twin-turbo beast in just a few days. While the final specs are yet to be revealed, the car certainly makes all the right noises. Just listen to those turbos spool up!
This twin-turbo Corvette isn’t the only C8 that has been modified in the country. Carlyle Racing have already built a C8 Corvette to go drag racing. It is equipped with Mickey Thompson drag radials but more importantly, it has a Nitrous bottle in the front.
A stock C8 equipped with the Z51 package comes with a 6.2-litre V8 engine that develops 495 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. The engine is hooked up to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Hennessey’s twin-turbo kit is expected to boost overall output to around 1200 hp.
