What would you do if you got hold of the $200,000 Porsche 911 GT3 RS? Take it to the detailer and put on a full paint protection film, drive it where it is meant to be driven – on the track, attend car meets, may be even go for the occasional grocery shopping in it, all the same making sure the car doesn’t get as much as a scratch on its surface. But, this man doesn’t comply with the normal rules. Taking a page out of Ken Block’s famous Gymkhana films and the infamous ‘Tax The Rich’ series, he takes the GT3 RS to an empty quarry to hoon around in the dirt.
The video actually starts off calmly, playing Beethoven’s Symphony 9 “Ode to Joy” after which the Guards Red GT3 RS is shown resting in its garage sparkling clean. That is until the garage door opens and the car heads out to the gravel pit.
The 911 GT3 RS is powered by a 4.0-liter flat-6 that generates a peak 520 horsepower and 346 pound-feet of torque. Drive goes to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. While we encourage GT3 RS owners to make the most out of their car’s performance, this isn’t necessarily the way we would want to see it happen.
