We hadn’t heard much from Koenigsegg in the past few months until the first images of the Jesko Absolut prototype surfaced online. Now, there’s another update from the Sweden-based hypercar maker. It’s about the 4-seater Koenigsegg Gemera.
Earlier today, the brand’s CEO posted a video in which he hops inside the prototype Gemera and fires up its 2.0-liter twin-turbo engine. We’re happy to report that, despite its size, the motor sounds brilliant!
The Gemera is a rather unconventional hypercar. On the outside, it’s a 2-door 4-seat coupe with a mid-mounted 3-cylinder engine. It is assisted by two electric motors and has a combined output of 1700 hp and 2581 lb-ft of torque. The internal combustion engine alone makes 600 hp! The hypercar also gets torque vectoring, all-wheel drive and 4-wheel steering.
Koenigsegg brought along two other prototypes for the shoot. They had the Regera and the Jesko Attack.
