You can buy Koenigsegg’s first ever hybrid supercar anymore. The Koenigsegg Regera is already sold out with no further allocations planned, at least for now.
The production run of the Regera is limited to just 80 units- the highest ever in the company’s history. It is also the first time since production began at the Angelholm factory that two models are being built side-by-side. Alongside the futuristic Regera, Koenigsegg continues to build the Bugatti Chiron-rivaling Agera RS.
“The Regera is a new high watermark for Koenigsegg Automotive” said company founder and CEO, Christian von Koenigsegg. “It has been our greatest technical challenge and as such, it is also our greatest technical triumph. That our customers and dealers have seen and appreciated the work we’ve done on the Regera is a source of great pride for everyone at Koenigsegg.”
The Regera uses the same twin-turbo V8 that powers the Agera. However, an electric drive system adds the peak output of the engine for a combined figure of 1500 hp and 2000 Nm. It also uses a revolutionary Direct Drive system instead of a conventional gearbox.
