Update: Lamborghini Huracan Performante launched at Geneva Motor Show
Lamborghini has kept us waiting for a long time for this. They’ve finally done it. The Huracan Performante is the fastest production car to lap the Nurburgring!
The baddest Huracan set a blistering lap time of 6 min 52.01 sec beating the previous record set by the Porsche 918 Spyder.
The 918 is a hybrid hypercar that costs a million dollars and it was beaten by what essentially is a modified Huracan. In fact, it would be fair to say that the Huracan Performante destroyed the 918’s lap time. It completed lap 5 sec quicker than the hypercar from Stuttgart.
After teasing us for weeks, Lamborghini has finally released the video of their record lap on Youtube. You can watch it below as Lamborghini test driver Marco Mapelli muscles the car around the circuit.
