Lamborghini Sian is the LB48H Hybrid Supercar we’ve been waiting for

The Lamborghini Sian (codenamed: LB48H) is the first hybrid supercar to come out of Sant’Agata.

Last month, Lamborghini had released a teaser of the Sian hybrid supercar on the Unica app. The carmaker has now revealed the first official image of the car to its customers. The car has a familiar wedge shape. The overall design seems to be an evolution of the Aventador with elements borrowed from the Terzo Millennio concept and other models.

At the front, the Lamborghini Sian gets new headlamps with Y-shaped LED daytime running lights. The side vents seem to be inspired by the Centenario. At the rear, it appears to have an integrated spoiler with the ’63’ script on the end plates. It is expected to get a so-called “Glow in the dark” feature, details of which are still unknown.

Lamborghini hasn’t revealed anything about the Sian’s hybrid powertrain. However, our sources have told us that the car is likely to feature a 6.5-liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine and a 48-volt hybrid system. It is the first car to use supercapacitors instead of conventional batteries. The combined output of the powertrain is said to be around 1000 hp. It is likely to get a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive.

Lamborghini is believed to produce just 63 units of the Sian, each costing upwards of $2.5 million.
