The McLaren 675LT is by no means a slow car. It’s the most track-focused supercar derived from the 650S and has been praised for its performance and sublime handling.
The 675LT uses the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine as its big brother- the McLaren P1. Also, compared to the 650S, it’s 100 kg lighter and the 666 hp engine accelerates it to 60 mph in just 2.9 sec.
Given the balance offered by the carbon fiber monocoque and the responsive steering, the McLaren 675LT was expected to set quick lap time around the Anglesey circuit. In fact, it was quicker than the Porsche 911 Turbo S and the Ferrari 458 Speciale. Moreover, it was just two tenths slower than the mighty P1 and that’s no mean feat.
