The Mercedes-AMG One has been spotted in Dubai, which suggests that the hypercar’s hot weather trials have begun.
As reported by us earlier, the AMG One project had suffered quite a few delays. In October last year, Mercedes finally acknowledged it. Now that the car is in the final stages of testing, we can expect production to commence anytime soon.
As you all know, the Mercedes-AMG One is a perfectly road-legal car with a Formula 1 engine in the middle. It is powered by the same 1.6-liter turbo-V6 hybrid that’s behind Lewis Hamilton’s F1 car. It churns out 1200 hp.
Initially, there were rumours suggesting that the car was suffering cold start issues, which were later rectified. Also, Mercedes has had to work on the NVH to make the car more usable. Having said that, don’t expect Bugatti levels of comfort and luxury. Still, we think the AMG One would be less extreme than the Aston Martin Valkyrie.
