Are you ready for some quirks and features of the Koenigsegg Regera?
UK’s first Koenigsegg Regera was recently delivered and before it got tucked into a temperature controlled garage, Mr JWW got a chance to review it.
It isn’t the first Regera in the UK per say, but the first one registered in the country. If you recall, a Saudi registered car was spotted around London back in September last year. Like @b14’s Regera, the UK registered car also has the optional aero package. It adds an extended splitter, canards and winglets on the side and rear. The car is painted in white with exposed carbon bits that have a matte finish. The interior has dual-tone red and black upholstery.
The Regera uses a twin-turbo V8 engine but that’s complimented by three electric motors to deliver a combined output of 1500 hp and 1500 lb-ft of torque. The car has exceptional acceleration and braking performance, which enabled it to set the fastest 0-400-0 time of 31.49 seconds.
The Regera is limited to a top speed of 255 mph. However, we know that Koenigsegg is building a car that can reach 500 km/h. It’s called the Mission 500 concept and it will be revealed at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show.
