The Nissan Z Proto recently made its virtual debut in Project Cars 3. While fans of the Z car can now get a taste of the things to come, the game might have revealed more than what Nissan would’ve liked.
If the figures in the game are accurate, then we might have just stumbled upon the engine specs of the production-spec Nissan 400Z. According to the in-game spec sheet, the car will have 444 hp!
That’s quite a bit more than what was initially thought as the 400Z is expected to be powered by the twin-turbo V6 engine from the Infiniti Q50. In the latter, the engine is rated at 300 hp and 295 lb-ft.
The game also reveals that the Nissan Z Proto weighs 1,475 kg, which is slightly more than the outgoing 370Z.
So, there you have it. With over 400 hp, the Nissan 400Z is shaping up to be a serious challenger in the sports car segment. With rivals like the Toyota Supra and the Porsche Cayman GTS 4.0, it better pack some punch.
