Nurburgring Battle: Watch Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Mercedes-AMG GT R in a Green Hell Fight!

Recently, the Nurburgring became the arena for a heated battle between the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and the Mercedes-AMG GT R. Watch the Green Hell fight video below.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS and the Mercedes-AMG GT R are two bloody-fast sports cars who have made their respective marks on the Nurburgring leaderboard. In one of the latest videos added to the YouTube channel “//.”, the two Germans put on an impressive show of raw power, precise cornering, and neck-breaking speed. You can watch the clash in the video shared somewhere below. Before you get to the near-10-minute-long clip, here are some numbers to put things in perspective.

Between the two, the Porsche 911 has the higher rank on the leaderboard, with a scintillating Green Hell run in 2018 securing a lap time of 6:56.4. Packing the firepower of a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six, the GT3 RS has 512 hp of power and 346 lb-ft of torque to deploy at the driver’s will.

The Mercedes-AMG GT R had made it to the headlines when it conquered the Nordschleife circuit in 2016 with a firecracker of a lap, covering the track in 7:10.9. The twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 delivering 577 hp of power and 516 lb-ft of torque is, of course, the more powerful of the two Germans engines.

As seen in the video, the cars keep each other in their respective rear-view mirrors for the same duration of time. The GT R makes a killing in the straights while the GT3 RS shows the AMG attack dog how it’s done in cornering and braking departments.
