We have seen an on-board video of the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 before. At the time, the car was at the Monza circuit in Italy. This week, Lambo’s most powerful track car made its Goodwood debut and Carfection got a chance to go for a ride in it.
The Essenza SCV12 has to be one of the craziest track toys ever made. Packing 830 hp, the naturally aspirated V12 engine is the most powerful motor built by the Lamborghini. The myriad of aero surfaces on it produces 1200 kg of downforce at 250 km/h. The car weighs just 1376 kg. It is certainly not your average Aventador.
Even a passenger ride in one of these would be an exciting and memorable experience. I’m glad Lamborghini has provided a grab handle for the passenger, for the acceleration and braking is just brutal.
