Damn, it’ll be great to drive around in the Pininfarina Battista on a bright summer day. The latest promo video on the firm’s YouTube channel teases just that.
The radical-looking Lotus Evija hypercar may have stolen some of the thunder from the Pininfarina Battista. But the new hypercar manufacturer on the block is in no mood to let the Lotus walk away with all the attention and glory.
A production-ready version of the all-electric Battista is coming to the Monterey Car Week in California. To spice things up a little online, the firm has released a promo video featuring the bonkers Battista being driven through mountain roads, before pulling over at the docks. The model steps out, grabs some expensive luggage and steps on to a yacht. All part of the lifestyle that Automobili Pininfarina sees being part of its super-rich clientele.
Just wondering if the location shown in the video is Monaco or Monte Carlo. Either way, the gorgeous and recently revised Battista, finished in a shade of Liquid Silver belongs to the locales with ease. This is a perfect teaser to the summer drives that the hypercar will be taken through by its owners once the 1,900 hp, 1,700 lb-ft, $2.2 million piece of engineering starts getting delivered.
The most powerful production car to ever come out of Italy will soon be part of the drive tour from Pebble Beach, in which it’ll be sharing the road with some of the greatest cars designed by the design house. That’s 89 years of rich design history we are talking about.
