The first chicane at Monza has been a scene of many crashes in the past. We often see race cars go off at Prima Variante but rarely do we see two exotic supercars collide in such brutal fashion.
Instagram user @varryx_ recorded this short clip of a Porsche 911 GT2 RS crashing into a Pagani Huayra BC. The accident took place at the first corner following the long pit straight at Monza.

You can clearly see the Pagani giving way to what appears to be a green Porsche 911 GT3 before cautiously turning into the corner. That’s when the GT2 RS comes into frame and hits the Huayra BC.
From initial observation, it seems like the driver of the GT2 RS misjudged his braking point. As a result, he was too quick to make the corner. Unfortunately, instead of taking the escape route, the driver tries to take the racing line into the chicane. The impact has probably destroyed the front end of the Porsche with major suspension damage as well. While the Pagani appears to have suffered significant bodywork damage.
Apparently, the Huayra BC is factory test car. So, we suspect that a test driver may have been at the wheel or it could be a customer.
