The new Range Rover has been huge success and so has the Range Rover Sport. Both models have been thoroughly redesigned and are now based on a much lighter chassis. To top off the Sport range, Land Rover will soon launch the Sport SVR powered by a thunderous V8 producing substantially more power than the standard model. It produces 550 PS and the rigid aluminum chassis and superior drivetrain take care of the rest. The SUV is the product of Land Rover‘s Nurburgring Development Program and looks to target Porsche Cayenne Turbo S and the likes.
The Range Rover Sport SVR was at the recently concluded Goodwood Festival of Speed. Despite it being wrapped in prototype livery, it wowed the crowd with its brutal exhaust note. The supercharged V8 that hides underneath the expansive body makes the best V8 noise that will make your hair stand on end.
