The Lamborghini Huracan will now be available as rear-wheel drive for those who fancy going around a roundabout with their tail hanging out. The Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 has just been revealed and is now much lighter but less powerful than its all-wheel drive cousin.
The all-wheel-drive Huracan LP610-4 is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 producing 610 hp. The new Huracan LP580-2 however has just 580 horsepower and 398 lb-ft from a de-tuned 5.2-liter V10. That said, it has lost 33 kg thanks to the absence of a front differential and other AWD gubbins.
Despite the weight loss, the new Lambo takes a bit longer to reach 62 mph from standstill- 3.4 sec to be precise. Top speed has also been affected and it can now reach 198 mph only. Lamborghini has made a host of changes to the suspension which now comprises of stiffer springs and anti-roll bars. The steering is quicker than on the LP610-4 and a revised Sport mode mean you can pull off neat drifts with ease.
The new Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 gets a slightly revised exterior with reworked vents both at the front and rear. 19-inch wheels are standard, while optional 20-inch rims are available shod with Pirelli rubber. Expect the rear-wheel-drive Huracan to be a tad cheaper than its cousin. One thing that will be sorely missed though is a manual gearbox as the LP580-2 can only be had with a paddle-shift dual-clutch.

Add a manual gearbox, leave the front as it was and it would be great.
