Stock Chevrolet Corvette C8 does a sub-11 sec Quarter Mile run

A new video shows that the Chevrolet Corvette C8 will do a sub-11 second quarter mile. That’s quite impressive.

On its second run, the Corvette C8 crosses the quarter mile in 10.92 seconds. Later, the C8 runs a 10.95 second at 124 mph. The driver reports that the supercar was capable of a 10.8 second time.

It should be noted that this Corvette is equipped with the optional rear spoiler. While the engine is completely stock, the car was fitted with drag radials.

The Corvette C8 is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine. When it leaves the factory, the car has 495 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

Chevy restricts the Corvette’s engine to 4000 rpm during the break-in period. Tests have shown the base V8’s output jump from 423 hp to 446 hp and 361 lb-ft to 381 lb-ft (measured at the wheel).
