Update: Lamborghini Huracan Performante launched at Geneva Motor Show
Lamborghini has released a new video showing off the active aero package on the Huracan Performante. Weren’t we supposed to get the Nurburgring lap time video by now?
Well, for some reason Lamborghini decided not to release the Nurburgring lap time video. Instead, we get this. The video shows the active aerodynamic systems on the Huracan Performante.
Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA)
The hardcore Huracan features an active spoiler embedded inside its front bodywork. A flap in the spoiler opens to let air through creating downforce.
Towards the rear, the top-mounted wing is a new fixture on the Huracan Performante. There seems to be a small valve at the base of the spoiler which opens to channel air through. It basically stalls the wing. The result is less drag and a higher top speed.

Gt8 time beat every British car except McLaren and xj220. A small car like a hatch or Caterham has the advantage. It wasn’t beat by the fastest fwd car ever.

Aston sold this car out and it’s limits are high enough to fool customers into thinking it’s a gt3 fighter even though it’s not.
Price is irrelevant as a 200k Morgan would probably do similar to a 2016 mustang gt.
A car made by craftsmen could do a nine minute lap and cost 350k. The last rwd Lamborghinis lapped similarly and cost 200k.
The Vantage v8 was a remarkably nimble Aston when it came out with a 8:02 ring time equalling the much quicker dbs and nearly equalling it’s corvette c6 contemporary(7:59) while crushing the db7gt (8:23)
