The new Porsche 911 GT3 might look like the old one but underneath the familiar looking bodywork lies an all-new race-derived 4.0-liter flat-six engine.
Incremental changes made to the new GT3’s chassis have made it substantially faster than its predecessor. So, when Porsche took the new GT3 out on the Nurburgring, it destroyed its old lap time.
An extra 25 horsepower and aided by improved aerodynamics, the new GT3 clocked a 7 min 12.7 sec lap around the Nordschleife. That’s 12.3 seconds quicker than the old model.
